A striking and sculptural Comme des Garçons creation from 2008, crafted entirely from black polyester and constructed with Rei Kawakubo’s signature experimental approach. The dress is formed from panels of fabric gathered and ruched by internal elastic, creating dimensional lozenge-shaped sections that wrap around the body in an almost quilted rhythm. The silhouette is a strapless tube with soft stretch at both the top and bottom hems, allowing it to hug the figure while remaining flexible and easy to wear.
