From Balmain’s iconic Spring/Summer 2010 collection under Christophe Decarnin, this rare black wool tailcoat epitomises the sharp, military-inspired aesthetic that defined the house during this era. The tailored silhouette features strong, structured shoulders and a cropped front with extended tails at the back. A dramatic chain epaulette with draped aiguillettes cascades from the right shoulder, while the lapels and front are decorated with an array of military-style medals, passementerie, and embellishments. Several of the brooches and pins were customised by the original owner, enhancing the one-of-a-kind character of the jacket.
